Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as localStorage, sessionStorage, web beacons (pixels) and device identifiers — serve comparable purposes. In this policy we use “cookies” to cover all of these.

2. How we categorize cookies

We group cookies by purpose, following the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework and similar global standards.

Strictly necessary

Required for the Site to function. These cannot be turned off in our consent banner. Examples on djiindex:

• Country preference (localStorage) — stores your chosen market so you see the right currency and prices. Persists until you clear it.
• Theme preference (localStorage) — stores light/dark mode. Persists until you clear it.
• Consent state — records your cookie choices so we don’t prompt you on every page. Persists for up to 12 months.
• Cloudflare security — cookies set by Cloudflare for bot protection and abuse prevention (e.g. __cf_bm). See Cloudflare’s cookie policy.

Analytics

• Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) — measures aggregate traffic and feature usage. Set by googletagmanager.com / google-analytics.com. Persists up to 13 months.

Advertising

If you consent, our advertising partners may set cookies to deliver and measure ads, including personalized advertising:

• Google AdSense / Google ad partners — including NID, IDE, __gads, __gpi and similar identifiers, set by google.com, doubleclick.net and partner domains. Used for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention and (with consent) personalization.
• IAB TCF / Additional Consent vendors — third-party ad and measurement vendors operating under the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework v2.2 or Google Additional Consent. The full vendor list is available in the consent settings.

Affiliate

• Affiliate-network cookies (set when you click an outbound affiliate link, e.g. to store.dji.com) — credit djiindex for a commission if you complete a qualifying purchase. These are set by the destination retailer/network, not by djiindex.

3. Managing your preferences

For users in the EU, UK and EEA, when third-party advertising is active on this site, Google Funding Choices displays a consent banner on your first visit and stores your choices. No non-essential cookies are loaded before you give consent. You can change your choices at any time:

• When the Funding Choices banner is active, click the Cookie settings link in the site footer to reopen it.
• Use your browser’s settings to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the Site.
• For Google personalized ads specifically, visit Google Ads Settings.
• For industry opt-outs from third-party advertising cookies: aboutads.info/choices (US), youronlinechoices.eu (EU), NAI opt-out.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where it is sent by your browser, treating it as an opt-out of sale/sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Do Not Track

Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no common industry standard for how to interpret DNT, so we do not respond to it. We honor GPC instead, which has a defined specification.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision.
